We're back in good ol' Cody. We had a really nice trip, except for one day in San Fran where everything seemed to go wrong. But it could have been worse. We did a lot of shopping and visiting family in Reno/Sparks/Carson City. It was really fun to meet more of Shawn's family. Was anyone else in San Fran last weekend? Cuz I'm pretty sure the rest of the world was. It was SO BUSY! There was a 49ers game, fleet week (where the navy ships come into port), and the blue angels were doing a show over fishermen's warf, and a parade for Columbus Day. So, yeah, there were a few too many people around. But we got to see everything we wanted to see except to visit Alcatraz. We only got to see it from the shore because the tours were booked solid while we were there. Oh, and we didn't get to see Ghirardelli Square because they shut our cable car down early because the traffic was so heavy. But we got some chocolate the next day at Union Square. Yum. We saw Frankie Valli, the guy who sang "Sherry Baby." He was the grand marshall in the parade. We went to the beach and watched some surfers and then drove across the golden gate bridge, which was also packed with people. It really would have been a great opportunity for a terrorist attack if they wanted to effect a lot of people. Is that wierd to think? :) I don't know if everyone has been hearing the sick things that the homosexuals have been doing (a parade and posters mocking the last supper and saying Jesus was a homosexual), but I kept thinking judgment was going to come while we were there. I'm crazy. I know. :) I'm having problems uploading images. So I'll try again later.
