I haven't been in the blogging mood lately, so I have quite a bit to catch up on!
We did watch 300 and it was a really great movie. Of course, like most movies now-a-days we had to forward through some vile scenes, but overall, the message and action of the movie was superb. I actually enjoyed the fighting scenes, which I usually don't. They're portrayal of Xerxes was very interesting. It made me want to study up on him. I would definitely recommend this movie, but keep your hand ready for the forward button. We also watched Astronaut Farmer. Shawn stopped watching it because it had liberal undertones. It ended up being pretty corny, and again, what I would call a typical Hollywood script.
The finches have been pigging out on my feeder, so it is fun to watch them. There is a nest in the apple tree, but it doesn't look like my bird house has any occupancy yet.
Last weekend we went home for my 10-year reunion and I had a blast. It was so much fun seeing my girlfriends! We had a lot of laughs and did a lot of reminiscing. We were given a tour of the school by our history teacher who is now the principal... very nostalgic! It was so wonderful to see the sunflower fields and the rolling hills of ND. I really do miss it, but I don't know so much to move back. Just wish I could get back a little more often. Jamin and Tanya brought Megan by Saturday morning on their way to take her to Minot. Megan is 5 years post-transplant (Praise the Lord!) and is cheerleading this year! And her coach is my high school coach! Yes, it's a small world. Claudia and Dewey came up to have lunch and spend the afternoon with us, so we had a nice time catching up a little.
My grandparents are moving back to Underwood this week into the house next door to my parents. It will be nice to get to see them more often. We're just praying they adjust to small town again. :)
The Lord is good. We are so blessed.
